Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data CashTracker collects, why, and how it is protected.

1. Who We Are

CashTracker ("we", "us", "our") is a family budget tracking application developed by an individual developer. You can reach us at alex@pulsedo.app.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

5. AI Features & Third-Party Data Sharing

CashTracker uses Claude AI, provided by Anthropic, Inc. (api.anthropic.com, United States) to power several smart features. Your data is only sent to Anthropic after you grant explicit in-app permission. You can withdraw or change this permission at any time in Profile → AI & Data.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase and Supabase) with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We apply the principle of least privilege — the app only requests permissions it actually needs (camera for receipts, notification permission for reminders).

Financial data is scoped to your family group. Only family members you invite can see your shared budget data.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active.

Deleting your account: You can delete your account and all associated data directly inside the app — go to Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Alternatively, you can contact us at alex@pulsedo.app and we will process the request within 30 days.

When your account is deleted, all financial records, family data, and profile information are permanently removed from our servers. Data previously sent to Anthropic is not retained by Anthropic after each request, so no deletion action is needed on their end.

8. Children's Privacy

CashTracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Cookies & Tracking

The CashTracker iOS app does not use web cookies. We do not track you across third-party apps or websites. On-device analytics use Apple's privacy-preserving frameworks and do not include personally identifiable information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of CashTracker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
